OUR ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Today is a very exciting day because exactly one year ago I married my best friend! I can't believe how time flies and I have been doing life with my very best friend for the past 365 days! Everyone will tell you the first year is the hardest, but I must say, I truly loved every season. This year has been full of learning. We dated for 4.5 years before we said "I Do", we met at Middle Tennessee State University, my very first semester of college and his last. Rewind back to 2011, we both went on a retreat one weekend in October and while square-dancing we laid eyes on each other for the very first time. I asked him to dance and the moment he reached out his hand and we began dancing, I knew, with all of my heart, I knew. You know how they say when you know you know? Well thats how it was with him. There was absolutely no doubt in our hearts that we were going to spend our lives together.

We got married on May 15, 2016 at The Lodge in Nashville and the day couldn't have been more perfect! We were blessed with, arguably, the most GORGEOUS day in 2016! The temperature was in the mid-70s and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. We got married outside in the court yard surrounded by so much love.

Over the past year I have loved really getting to know Ryan. They say that the first year of marriage is the hardest, but honestly, I loved every season. I have learned things about Ryan I didn't know during our 4.5 years of dating, and he got to know me, too. Ryan has a heart of gold. I always knew he had a beautiful heart, but now that I get to see him everyday and see his actions first hand, he reminds me everyday that his heart is so, so amazing. He cares so much about me and the people around him. He encourages my dreams and believes in me more than I believe in myself, I think! He allows me to dream so big, but always helps me keep my feet on the ground. I have always known he's an incredibly picky eater, like, he's a Mac n cheese, PB&J sandwich everyday kind of guy, and I have learned that making two versions of every meal is going to be a forever thing in our family! Honestly, I just laugh when I make something new and I ask him to eat it. Everything has to be "Ryan Friendly" or he won't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Also, I'm pretty sure Ryan needs to be a comedian, because I literally laugh every single day because of him! He is so funny! Ladies, marry someone who makes you laugh, because they are seriously the best. Over the past year I've learned that communication is so, so important. I've learned that its way better to over communicate than under, and its so vital to be on the same page at all times. I loved learning how to be a team and work together through everything in life. This year has truly been wonderful & I am so excited to see all of the great adventures we will go on over the years!

Dear Ryan,

I am so thankful for you. I am so thankful that you love my business just as much as I do and fully believe in it - that you fully believe in me. Thank you for constantly cheering me on and celebrating all of my wins and encouraging me when I need it. I am so thankful that you love me for exactly who I am, that you see past my exterior, and that you love my heart & soul completely. I am so thankful for your sense of humor and kind heart. I love how hard working you are and how you see the good in everything. Being loved by you makes me the richest girl in the world.

With Love,
Jess
